The clinically validated RetinaRisk software solution introduces a more sustainable and cost-effective approach to healthcare that increases access to universal health coverage and reduces inequalities, based on individualized risk assessment. RetinaRisk can double diabetic eye screening capacity and lead to significant savings in healthcare costs around the world. RetinaRisk can help to prevent vision loss and blindness among the global diabetic population of 437 million, thereby keeping more people in the workforce, which leads to higher levels of economic productivity and growth. RetinaRisk offers remote care, which is an environmentally sound way of growing the global healthcare system’s capacity. At the same time, our research has shown that using RetinaRisk personalized eye screening intervals can half the frequency of unnecessary doctor’s visits, thereby significantly reducing the carbon footprint. RetinaRisk is a novel and innovative solution to provide personalized care and deal with inefficiencies in healthcare systems.
